A DAY IN THE LIFE: ---> Encoming4u <---
This past we caught up to Encoming4u who is in the process of moving his family to another state. He has created something that we believe in and support and we wanted to know more about the person behind his success.
Other than being a bomb ass gamer, what else do you do?
I am a family man! Family should always come first! I have a full time job in the IT department for the government. I enjoy what I do, and I enjoy my time with my family. When I am not getting my gaming on we (Family) all like to do hiking, treasure hunting, fishing, camping, star gazing, movie time and beaches etc.
What does an Information Assurance Analyst do exactly?
As an “Information Assurance Analyst” my job consist of auditing. There are IT equipment vulnerabilities that come out and specific teams like Server teams, Network teams, Virtualization teams etc. run scans and create a checklist to show they are in compliance and secure. It is my job to check there work behind them on their checklist to make sure they are completed correctly. Then, we create a packet full of these checklist to a General for the Army to get approval to make sure all the people I work with, keep their jobs.
Wow! That's really impressive! OK then let's go to something a little easier...How long have you been gaming and what made you want to start streaming? As many streamers say, I have been gaming for years, since I was a wee little lad. I am also an identical twin, so there has always been a competitive side of me for my entire life. Now for me, I am not like ZLaner where I am just amazing at gaming, I hold my own though. As I was playing one day with random people, I kept being told I should be a streamer for my sarcasm and funniness. So, one day I did and started streaming. I love doing it because it allows for you to meet new people and I get to help the people I meet with possible brightening there day. In the midst of it all, I get to share all of these times with my followers, family and friends.
So if someone was thinking about jumping in a game with you what could they expect? How would you describe yourself to someone you've never met?
I am a funny, energetic, sarcastic, passionate, ambitious, people-person. I am a 39 year “old man” (as my kids call me) and I like to go out of my way to help people that aren’t afraid to ask for it. That is why I created something called the SSS.
The SSS. What does that stand for? Tell us about that.
Okay, my SSS (aka “Triple S”) stands for “Small Streamer Sunday.” I only stream Monday through Friday, therefore on Sunday I spend around 2-3 hours to basically find small streamers randomly and watch them, I bring some people with me to help their numbers and watch time. Average viewers is the hardest hurtle in my book. So, I try to help them get affiliate, I mentor and coach them if they are willing to ask how to be better. And then I provide a tagged review on my Instagram account as a Mini TV-Series to help them with exposure. You can also find it on my YouTube channel as well. Most of the time when they would see I had 15k followers ( Twitch )and they would be so excited that someone much bigger than them is spending time with them and that is what I loved. The humbleness of a streamer is very important and somewhere along the way streamers that become more popular lose that and I don’t want to be one of them. I will always maintain my humbleness as well as who I mentor. I have successfully assisted almost 20 streamers reach their mini goal of being an “Affiliate” status, which to me is AMAZING!!
What's the hardest thing you've had to overcome to continue?
I generally don’t stream on the weekends, so with work and family it is very hard to gain a huge follow. Time of day when I stream is not a strong time. And in the midst of work and family time I have to create content and short clip videos to help draw for future family in.
It's a lot to keep up with. Trying to stream is hardly a part time job even if you're streaming part time. With that in mind, as a working and family man what difficulties have you had in trying to balance both?
As any small streamer should say that has family, time management. It would be one thing if streaming was my full-time job, then time management wouldn’t be such an issue. Being a full-time worker and a family man, there are many obstacles. Time is that major obstacle, I wake up at 530 am, at work by 6 am. I am off work by 230 pm, family time and cooking till they go to bed, which is normally around 9ish pm. Then, that is when I get my streaming/gaming on till around midnight to 1 am and then I do it all again M-F. Problem with this listed schedule, where is ones wife time. This is the most important time for my wife and the relationship. How is she to support you when you don’t support her time? How can you possible keep her happy when you are not there? This is why it is truly hard to accomplish this doing so much, they say there will be sacrifices for one to become successful, but how much are you willing to lose for it? Success for me and my streaming business will come in time. I am not looking to be famous over-night and one day it will be my full-time job and I will be successful with it. I would have to say that, this is my/the hardest struggle with it all.
Well, I think that brings us right to our next question: What are your future plans for the streaming world?
I will always strive to be a full-time streamer, coach, mentor, comedian, content provider and a family friend to my streaming community. I would love to get sponsored one day for my passion to help and stream. I would love to be selected one day by Stonemountain64’s company called “Pipeline” where they teach people how to be better streamers. I routinely refer people to Pipeline so they can reach there desired goals. My immediate plan is getting a better gaming system, probably PC instead of PlayStation and continue mine and my community’s goals to be more than I am now.
We agree with you there. ArmyOfOne417 went through it last year and raves about the amount of help there is there. What would you tell our audience? Any words of encouragement?
Firstly, thank you all if you have made it this far to read this last question. You all are amazing and I hope to one day to get to say “hi” to you on a live stream. If you are also finding a desire in you to start and become a streamer, just do it. Stay focused, manage your time right and be humble and kind. Screwball gaming has been awesome since I got introduced to them. I have brought a lot of other gamers/watchers to them to help their growth so they can reach their own goals and with us all together we can help them get there. Stay true to them and they won’t do you wrong and they will continue to provide excellent content for us all. If you wish to follow me, you can find me on through my linktr.ee/Encoming4u or individually on Twitch , Possible FB soon, Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube, Reddit, Twitter all under the name “Encoming4u.” God Bless you all and I wish the best for everyone!!
